"Normalement, cette boite était vendue en Amérique du Nord en 2014. Il me semble qu'elle était exclusive à Toys Rus."

I am almost as old as Playmobil!I got my first ever Playmobil set when I was 5 years old. My early collection was a mix of Playpeople and Playmobil and was mostly gifted to me at Birthdays and Christmasses. I have a younger sister and together, along with our neighbours, we used to play for hours with our Playmobil. The moment the whole family remember was Xmas 1990. My Mum had not long gone back out to work as my sister had started secondary school. The Victorian Mansion had just been released and we loved it, but knew there was no way we could afford it. Little did we know, but my parents had been saving and plotting. A couple of the 1900 furniture sets were wrapped under the tree, and when we had finished opening all our presents, my parents asked us to go through to the kitchen....there on the dining table was the 1900 mansion that my Mum had been able to buy for us with her wages!! Best Christmas ever!!The mansion was the last Playmobil I had in my youth. I was now firmly in my teenage years and University beckoned. I just didn't have the time or money for Playmobil, but I was always aware of what was released and I bought the odd theme like the 1993 winter sports and 1995 zoo. My cousin (who is 15 years my junior) also played with Playmobil so I would play with him and his.On into my early 20's and the airport was released....I was working as an Air Traffic Assistant at this time so wanted the theme badly. I have the pre- 9/11 version with the Twin Towers stickers. That day changed Playmobil history as well as aviation history with that sticker having to be changed in subsequent sets.In my late 20's I became an Air Traffic Controller and along came a pay rise, and my discovery of eBay and Playmoboard. The rest, as they say, is history. I now have over 1800 'MIB' sets and collect just about every theme.I am still fairly new to customising Playmobil and have so far restricted my activities to painting cars (I love cars!) although I do have a couple of building projects on the go too.Playmobil may be a children's toy at its core, and that was certainly how I was introduced to it, but now, as I get scarily close to my 40's, those smiling faces still bring me a lot of joy.Claire :-)

Many thanks for your information, I hope you will find more spare time in future for relaxing and hobby.

One more question:  The hat or cap of the hotel workers, which number?

Only if you have time for looking it up,

Kind regards

frank

Hi Claire,

i´m glad you like the bridge, thank you very much. All my models i build out of foam core (i think that´s the right description in english). In Germany it calls XPS (Polystyrol).

It´s very easy to handle with a cutter and with some paintings it looks like that.

Greetings,

stu
