My name is Alessandro Tanner, from Sao Paulo, Brazil. I've played a lot with Playmobil when I was a kid, mostly with a PlaymoSpace collection and some policemen sets my father gave me on the early 80's. Unfortunately, some years later, these toys had disappeared from Brazilian market.
I've just rediscovered Playmobil in 2008, when they came back to the shops and I noticed that some old parts were still sold on the internet. My first buy then was a Fort Glory... and the passion has started over! Since then I've bought a little bit more... and now I'm proud to have in my collection more than 5,500 items. In fact, I have separated a room in my house specially to build showcases to put all my clickies together.
In 2009, I met the PlayBrasilmobil Forum, which gathers a great number of fans and collectors in my country. Besides the joy of collecting, the Forum brought me new friends and new possibilities to play with people of "my age". Together with my new friends, we've organized exhibitions, created dioramas and still have lots of fun and projects. In that joyful space on the web, my nickname is TannerBil.
In my house, the only picture on the wall is this photo below, at the top of the first kind dolls made, and at the bottom the first 3 lines launched in 1974, and also the police who came next.
Recently, I decided to write a blog (www.tannerbil.blogspot.com.br), a page of my collection on Face Book (http://www.facebook.com/CollectoTannerPlaymobil) about my collection and also created a channel on Youtube (www.youtube.com/user/tannerbil). I invite all Playmobil fans around the world to join our Brazilian Forum (www.playbrasilmobil.com.br) and see my videos and pictures.
Greetings from Brazil,TannerBil.
